Martina Franca enjoys a prime location that offers breathtaking views over the Valle d’Itria, making it one of the top destinations for visitors to the region.
It lies just minutes from Locorotondo and Cisternino, both officially recognized as two of Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages by the prestigious ANCI association, and close to Alberobello, the capital of the Trulli—the iconic cone-shaped dwellings protected by UNESCO.
One of the must-see landmarks in Martina Franca is the Palazzo Ducale, located in Piazza Roma.
Constructed over a long period, from the 17th to the 20th century, the palace features a wrought-iron balcony crafted by local artisans, dividing the building horizontally, and pilasters that divide it vertically.
Due to high construction costs, the Palazzo Ducale was never fully completed. It was only partially finished in 1773 by Duke Francesco III, who oversaw the development of most of the eastern wing.

Martina Franca is one of the most beautiful cities in Puglia, best known for its stunning Baroque architecture and the renowned Valle d’Itria Festival.

On Via Masaniello, just a short walk from Palazzo Ducale, you can visit the magnificent Basilica of San Martino, built in the second half of the 18th century. Its impressive façade features an image of Saint Martin, the city’s patron saint, sharing his cloak with a beggar in Amiens.
For those looking to spend the night or enjoy a romantic and relaxing stay in Martina Franca, we warmly recommend our Suite San Martino, located on Via Arco Caroli 10, just a few steps from the Basilica.
Our Suite is a romantic hideaway nestled in the heart of the Baroque old town. It reflects the traditional vertical architecture of the historic center, with a fireplace once essential for cooking and heating.
Inside, you’ll find a private wellness area complete with sauna, Turkish bath, tropical shower, and a heated hydromassage pool—the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy pure serenity.
Upstairs, the bedroom leads to a beautifully furnished rooftop terrace, ideal for admiring the historic townscape while sipping a refreshing cocktail.
