Using Locorotondo, Cisternino or another village as your base
A nearby village may be the right base when Martina Franca is not the sole focus of the trip. Locorotondo, Cisternino and Alberobello each have their own identity and should not be treated as neighbourhoods of the same destination. Driving time, parking and evening atmosphere all change.
For a first visit, choose the place where you would also like to spend the evening. If Martina Franca is the main destination, staying elsewhere adds a journey. For a balanced touring itinerary, a central position may instead be an advantage.
